Workshop
Full Moon Yoga Workshop
This is a unique yoga practice open to new and experienced yoginis alike. This workshop is a time to come together, to nurture and inspire ourselves through the timeless experience of yoga. We celebrate the new moon through practices that are specific to the ancient tradition of yoga, including asana practice, poetry, ancient scripture reading, tantra, and mythology. We learn to embody the moon salutations—the feminine side of asana practice—as well as postures that promote our health and well-being.
We will observe the lunar phases with 108 Moon Salutations in honor of the full moon, the summer equinox, the Hindu Festival which celebrates the triumph of "good over evil". It is a time of renewing relationships. The practice of moon salutations - chandra namaskar, the feminine side of asana practice, are postures that promote women's health. We will also explore simple, yet powerful practices for emotional and spiritual well-being and that include poetry, cycle beads, mythology, fertility wheel, journaling and sankalpa (intention).
This workshop will offer an opportunity to expand our internal world by igniting the creative energy of life (shakti) and the divine feminine. Using the synthesis of intention and meditation, we uncover our deepest, heartfelt desires. This is the place where our practice can open us to self empowerment through connection to our own inner authority. The practice method is based on our own body's innate intelligence and our intuitive wisdom.
You will leave the workshop with a new sense of alignment, ready to resume your own mindfulness practice with more joy, more self-compassion and ultimately, with more conscious steps toward self-realization.
Accessible to beginning and advanced yoginis alike, the meditation methods suit any lifestyle and personality. Join us on the next full moon, create a sacred space, soak up the quiet, introspective, luminous energy, shed old layers and plug into your Source.
