Workshop
Destiny and Free Will: The Psychology of Karma
Dhanurdhara Swami will talk about the psychology of karma: How one can cure despondency by understanding how we may best respond to our destiny according to the law of karma. The following subjects relating to karma will be discussed on the basis of Bhagavad-gita including the reconciliation of destiny and free will, the proofs for the existence of karma, how to read the language of destiny, theodicy (the problem of evil and the existence of God), forgiveness and karma, and how to transcend karma. Dhanurdhara Swami will also tell a sacred story about karma that illuminates the cure for all despondency.
Special Feature:
For those who would like, Dhanurdhara Swami will give a short astrological reading describing their general personality and one thing that happened in their life. Those interested should send in their birth time, date and place (c/o Studio Serenity) to hari@studioserenity.com at least three weeks before the program. Time constraints may limit readings to the first 5-10 people who sign up for the event. The readings will only be shared with others at the program if one volunteers to do so after reading it themselves. The purpose of this exercise is to prove that there is a destiny set at birth.
